From June 25th to June 27th 2018 FIThydro’s third General Assembly took place in Zurich, Switzerland.
The meeting was hosted by ETH Zürich. The project partners discussed the project’s progress and next steps for monitoring and improving fish migration and supporting self-sustained fish populations in hydropower affected environments, through cost effective existing and innovative solutions, models, tools and devices.
The programme also included a tour of the hydraulics laboratory of VAW at the ETH Zürich, where research on hydropower, flood protection and river restoration is conducted.
Next to discussions on the work being carried out at the different FIThydro Test Cases in Europe, an excursion to two Swiss Test Case sites HPP Bannwil and HPP Schiffmühlen was undertaken.
